 i've got a 1991 tercel that just plain (dies) & looses all power while going down the road. i've removed @ had the alternator tesyed. it's fine. i've put in new battery. cabbles are all clean @ tight. what am i missing /?

desperately need some advice!

Spark, Fuel, Compression . . . You need to verify those three things. If its electrical, the very basics of maintenance items should have been checked, and replaced.

plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor. More extensive checks and electrical related items are the coil, fuel relay, fuel pump, etc.

Only a AVR test will tell you 100% as to the electrical condition of your charging system. I am sure this was not done.

You need to be more specific as to what the problem is. The vehicle runs rough when cold, hot, at idel. Dies no matter the speed or temp, dies only at idel, dies upon acceleration, etc.

Does the vehicle have a lope?? Does it idel rough?? What is the compression on this vehicle? How many miles are on the OD?

Have you done a leak down test?? The list is endless, and only you can supply the information for a informed opinion . . .
