was looking at the wiring of my 4 compVR's today. they are each wired in series (to get 8 ohms from each i suppose), then the subs are wired down to 2 pairs (creating 4 ohms per pair..i think), and then wired those two together to get 2 ohms. is this correct? and if it is, i have one other question. Kickers website shows the 4 posts on the back of each sub, 2 positive and 2 neg, a pair for each voice coil. i understand that. now mine are wired in a series, in other words (to make sure im right), the positive post of one coil and the neg post of the other coil is wired together, then the other 2 posts are wired to the amp. damn..i know this sounds complicated, ive been tryin to get it all straight for an hour now. here is my question, does it matter which side of the coils is wired to the amp? mine is the opposite of kickers diagram.

any help is appreciated..or know anyone in the jacksonville, fl area that is reputable and i can pay to look at it, 2 people have only managed to make it worse..

Are those subs 4 ohm dual voice coil?  They would be wired like this.  Are any of the subs inverted?  If so, the wiring on the inverted subs would be different than the other subs.  It doesn't matter which "side of the coils is wired to the amp", as long as every woofer follows the same wiring scheme.
