On my computer, the output for audio, the terminal is a little itty bitty one. Just like the same ones on a headset that you would use for a cd player. I have this SONY stereo, that allows RCA input. 

I would like to know how i can convert my wires to RCA output, or visa versa.  THat way i may be able to take the sound from my computer such as music to go into my sony stereo, and out to subwoofers.

I thought about stripping wires and just connecting one to the other.

There is a cable you can buy that goes from Headphone Mini Jack to RCAs...All you would have to do is plug it in....I use this cable to connect my PC to my Homestereo (Great for parties) and also connect to my car...

Not what I have bought but it was the first pic I could find of the cable...You can get a good one at wal-mart
