I recently purchased a 24v air compressor and want to use it on my SuperDuty rig, which is primarily 12v.  I'm no rocket scientist, but can wield a soldering iron;).  Knowing my truck has an AC circuit on board (the injectors I believe) I feel the 24v thing is possiable. TIA

is this for a air horn kit or what

cheapest way is probably the optima battery which has that option safely. after the battery is bought a isolater has to be bought to isolate that battery from your regular 12 volt batt so that it will not feedback and fry your internal electronics.. i have dont this before but as far as compressor what type are you talking about compressor that is similar to a house compressor for tools etc or what is it for.

also from battery to iolator to battery to ground should be all 0 guage wire.

the optima battery is dry cell as well so it can be mounted anywhere any way,

ps dont play with your coils
there is no where near enough power there even if it was 24 volts also they are not constant and they whould not have enough power to help you.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Jon,

Thanks, it is for an air horn/air tools/etc. I was hoping not to have to install a battery as I have limited space.  But not wanting to and having to are not the same thing.posted_image So I'll do what ever is suggested here.
