Hi all,

I am currently rewiring my my 1969 VW beetle and have an electric fuel pump that I would like to wire up in safety cutoff system......I was thinking about using a dash mounted toggle switch and a relay that is dependent on the oil pressure warning light circuit....ie; if there is no oil pressure in the event of a crash or similar, the pump would not run.  The dash mounted toggle switch would be for allowing me to turn off the pump while the car is idling to run the carbs dry for storing the car.

Does anyone have a circuit diagram or details of how to wire this up?

Cheers

Mark

it shouldn't be any different then a starter kill 87 not used 87a to pump side 30 to power side and 86 to one side of toggle and other side of toggle to ground.
