hi to all!

i ran in a little problem, and can't find anywhere how to wire this little kid. I know it's written on the switch how to wire, but this is the first time i'll install it so need little wider explanation. This is illuminated toggle switch, and i want to make on/off one of my lighting accesories in my car, so what would be a wiring diagram? sorry for a dunno question, but i hope to get answer

so i kinda figured out that possibly + (power) wire and - (ground) wires are just for illuminating the switch, but how the load switch works, if i just have one pin for load? i know i probably making it very difficult for myself...but can't figure out how.... posted_image

. i'm used to the two pin switches which i installed lots of them at home, so basically you just cut the wire and connect both ends to the switch, so, when you want light off switch just cuts the power in itself....but with these kids, i don't know, something strange...

The middle pin will have power applied as well. This will turn on the light within, if the light is not incandecent, and is a LED, you will need to add in a series resistor aprox. 300-470 ohms will do.

This depends on the max current the LED can handle, most are rated at 20 mA, others such as blue LEDs are at the upper range of 40-45 mA.

The other two posts power and ground, are simply connected to a fused +12 volts, and the other is to chassis ground.

OKay it is relatively easy to wire this, Earth is earth and is required for the switch (+) pin is the first part of your "load" power in wich supplies power to the switch and the third pin is you other part of the load or Power out sorry Teken but no resistor is required because it is built in, this is quite a popular switch in Australia. I know I'm a newbie but if I had a dollar for everyone of these I've installed!!!

sorry my language understanding is kind of poor, so i better understand pictures, i thought a long way how to connect, and suddenly i came up with idea like this :

Legend:

RED - power wire positive

BLACK - negative, ground

YELLOW - is my light

is that the right thing to do, cause i can't think of any other, i hope this is right, just want to make sure before i connect.

ok maybe im not understanding correctly..but this is how i have always installed these switches.

Power-12v

Ground- Ground

ACC-(the + wire of the accessorie that you are installing)

when you hit the switch you complete the circuit and turn the accessorie on..
