I just bought a new-to-me Chevy Blazer with the knowledge that the radio was not in working condition. I thought it could be the old radio or something simple. I bought a new radio and bought the wires to connect it right and I am still getting no power to it. Where should I start to look for answers? I have looked at past posts about this same topic and they said to check the fuses first. That is ok. I don't know if it has a fuse box under the hood. Where would that be and where could I get the information to get that answered. They also said something about the ignition switch. I am clueless about this. What is this and what do I do about it and how can I eliminate that as a problem. Any replies would be helpful. Thanks

find that fuse box! usually somewhere under the hood or under the driver side lower dash! sounds like a blown fuse to me

On the old radio, I turned the power on and got "puh" sound through the speakers, but nothing else. On the old radio I saw that a LED light was on so I don't think it is a fuse. What could that sound mean. On the new radio, I get nothing out of it.
It Could Be Several Things Buddy But If You Dont Know What You'r Doing Dont Take Risks On Your New Deck Trust Me Ive Had So Many Customers That Mess Up Their Deck For Trieng To Do It Their Selves What I Sugjest Is That When You Find The Fuse Box Carfully Run New Wires The Wire You Should Use For Constant Power Is Any Of The Ones That Have Power Whether The Car Is On Or Off And The Ignition Cable Should Be Any Of The Ones That Dont Have Power unless The Key Is Turned Now Connect Constant Power TO The Cable that Is Usualy yellow Thats 12V+ And The Ignition Wire Should Go TO The Wire That Sais IGN Usually Red But If The Problem Continues And It Does that Puh Sound It Could Be That One Of The Speaker Wires Are Tuching Not Nesesarally In The Dash It Could Also Be Where The Speakers Are I Could Guide You More In Mesenger Threw A Microphone Just Hit me Up At Josebermont1@hotmail.com
