I've installed a new Prostart remote starter in a 2002 cavilier, with man trans. All safetys work, idle mode, but on remote start, starter runs and motor fires but won't stay running in on position. This vehicle has only one ignition wire and I don't know what I've missed. Tach learning responds and no codes flash. Any help would be much appreciated.

Your car is equipped with GM passlock 2 did you use a bypass module?

The Passlock 2 is an anti-theft system which prevents the car from being started without the proper key. You need to purchase a module which will bypass this system when the vehicle is being remotely started. It is connected to the remote start module. If you search this site there is also a way to bypass this system without buying the module but you will need resistors and relay.
