Mulitiple Components need ACC. how to ?

OK heres the question
im doing a huge custom system install in a 2000bmw 3 series . now the one thing that always bothered me was running lines for the components to turn on only with the ign on.i have to get power to 2 headrest monitors,ps2,2, amps,rear view cam,dvd player, video switcher, linear actuator accent strobes and led's and neon, etc...
should i just use the remote from the head unit and keep adding relays or just use the remote from the head unit for the amps and run a couple of diff wires from the fuse box upfront and relays to the various componetnts to the back
either way everything is going to a fuse block in the back but just wantto know the best way to power it all evenly

You are going to have to find the total current draw. Monitors hardly draw anything, while a linear actuators draws probably more than 5 or 6 amps.

What I tend to do is divide up sections of a large system. I will power the video section with one power wire (a moderate system I use 8Ga). The audio system can use the remote from the receiver, daisy chained to the 2 amps. Mechanical items can be in their own category, too.

Linear actuators I switch separately, they don't really need to be on an ACC line. Kinda depends on what you plan on moving. Using a momentary DPDT switch would work fine to move and amp rack, for instance, but how often will it move anyway?

But it seems you will need atleast 2 relays.

Just my suggestions, let's see what other people think.

i found a marine fused block with about 7 fuses in it i wa going to use that to fuse each component but the thing i dont understand is how to i run 8GA power wire from the ign wire or something like that. its usually no bigger than14ga or something like that
what do u usually do with thta

i dont think just soldering 8ga to like 16 -r 12 gauge is a good idea but i might be wrong ,whats the easiest and safest way to do this

   I meant wiring the 8 Ga. from the battery terminal, with a switch.
   The other way is to wire the ACC from the car to a relay, and power the video system with 10-12 Ga from the output of the relay. The larger the wire the more current capacity, but the relay is helping draw current 'away from' the other system components, so you don't need much heavier wire.

ok i just didnt want to overload the cicuit or the cable and cause a fire or something. so as long as i keep adding relays feverything will be fine??
