Hello everybody, I just joined this group hoping to find answers and to share some of my DIY experiences.....

My question today goes beyond my experience, and I'm trying to keep it a DIY install with expert tutoring... here it goes, I recently bought a complete mobile entertainment system for my car, the system consist of the following components (not including amps, processors, etc):

Head unit: Pioneer DEH-P740MP

TV Tuner: Pioneer GEX-P7000TV

DVD changer: Pioneer XDV-P9

Navigation: Pioneer AVIC-9DVD

Monitor (1): Pioneer AVD-W8000,

Monitor (2): AVD-W6010

Accessories: Pioneer CD-RGB26P 26-Pin RGB Connection box , Pionner CD-RGB31E 20P RGB Cable (3m) and Pioneer CD-30RGB 20-pin RGB cable (3m)

I also have a rearview camera which I'm going to use with the auto-switching video input of the AVD-W6010.... the problem I'm having is that none of the installation manuals show a connection with more than one monitor. Do I need I video switcher, or connection box to use both monitors ?, what would be the optimal configuration for the whole system ? should I buy an master unit to run everything or use the TV tuner as the master unit controlled by the head unit ?..... I appreciate any help or advise in solving this matter, I know it's not going to be easy,,,, that's why I'm asking the experts.....

no all you need to do really do is get a rca splitter and run from one wire to two wires , this will let you have the same thing as in the dash on the other two screens headrests etc. daisy link the power wires . do what you need to do as it says for first tv and than just tap in to the power remote what ever the tv has and that iwll control your power now for the tvs buy a splitter and split the wires from the brain of indash than run seperate rcas to each of the video input wires.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Thanks Jon for your help. I had thougth about it too, but I've heard that the RGB output has better image quality than the RCA's and I think the connection from the navigation to the monitors had to be RGB so you can use the monitor-built in speakers....
