One of my buddys had his Dodge truck at the body shop for about 3-5 months and the battery went dead and now he has replaced the battery and the fuel pump and it still does not start. The engine turns over but it seem like the factory alarm might not be letting something not fire to get it to start.

Info: The Truck does not have any type of add on allarm, it's a factory built in alarm. If anyone can give me a hand please help.

what year sounds like a sentry key problem.

if it is a coded key with a transponder built in, (probably has a grey key) try putting the key in and turning the ign on.. let set for about 10 to 15 minutes with ign on (hook up a battery charger) and then try starting... This is how MOST cars 'learn' the key code... I'm not sure about dodge, but worth a try..

if your truck still doesn't start try pushing gas pedal if it starts.  disconnect battery for 10 minutes it resets compuiter.  had it happen to on remote start install. hope it works for you

Did the body shop disconnect /cut anything while fixing the vehicle. Make sure everything is pluged in properly. Are all fuses good? Exactly where did they fix?
