Jeff what wires do you install on the relay to change the positive input on the remote starter to negative out put. Were does the glow plug wire hook to from the remote starter, and were does the wait to start wire hook to from the truck? I can see the 87 and 86 is the ground, and the 85 is 12 volt constant power. What is the 30 pin connected to?

POSITIVE INPUT ----> NEGATIVE OUTPUT
  • 87 & 86 -  CHASSIS ground
  • 30 - Goes to the GLOW PLUG WIRE. The Dodge has a negative output on this wire.
  • 85 - This pin will be connected to the Glow plug wire of the RS unit.
  • 87a - NOT USED

Quick question..... is the GLOW PLUG wire of the RS unit that you have a (-) or a (+) input wire to sense that the glow plug is on and off ? Just want to make sure of this before you venture out into thte truck and do something wrong. = )

You probably need a system that reverses the (-) output of the Dodge to a (+) input for the RS unit right ?? If so this is the wiring diagram that you need:

  • NEGATIVE INPUT ----> POSITIVE OUTPUT
    • 87 & 86 - 12 volts +
    • 30 - This pin will be connected to the Glow plug wire of the RS unit.
    • 85 -  Goes to the GLOW PLUG WIRE. The Dodge has a negative output on this wire.
    • 87a - NOT USED
