I have got several "unused" wires hanging around in my trunk. these are factory wires, but are not being used. It is a Police Intercepter model. I'll have to look again to see what the color of 1 of them is but one is orange with a green stripe. One of the speaker wires is this color but does not seem to be associated with this one. There is also another one, same color, that goes to the trunk light. Again, it does not seem to me associated. It does not have any power running to it.
Anyway, if anybody knows what it is for, mucho gracias for the info.

Well, that's what I thought they were for but those are on the trunk lid. 1 on each side. I hooked up a pair of fog lights to them and they actually flash when the lid is up. Even still, no power to the 2 wires hanging down.
I guess I should have mentioned this before. The 2 wires I need to know about are under the hat rack. 1 near the trunk light to the left. The other is near the spare tire and 3rd brake light.
I'm hoping some one has a total car wiring diagram they want to e-mail or post for download. I sent a message to a guy on another site be he never responded with the one he said he would send to anyone who wanted it. Oh well.
Ford used to give "some" factory wires at different locations of the car. It depends on where it was Mfg's (What company did the conversion or rebuild) from what I remember, there was a harness w/ 3 wires in the pass kick panel (accy, +12 , and Gnd) a set in the B pillar driver side and sometimes a harness in the trunk for wig wags, the amber lights on the back deck and a few cases some wires for communications equipment. chances are some of these do nothing now. (at least in the trunk). when the equipment tear out is done most shops are told to snip these wires and undo them from the power center.(at least the 2 places I did squads were) anyhow if you dig around under the center hump and into the main harness with a fox and hound you can probably find where these wires end up at.
