I'm currently trying to find a 12V power source to run a video monitor. I'm thinking about using the existing 12V leads from my wiring harness adapter, as that's what's being used to power my Satellite Radio tunerposted_image

Attached is what it looks like. Can I run another 12V wire where the gray circles are (they represent nylon crimp connectors). What's the best way to tap the line? Should I go find another 12V source?

Yes you can do that. The current draw for the monitor is low enough that it's not going to draw too much power from the XM radio harness and cause a fuse to pop.

Sorry, the uploading feature wasn't working, so I had to upload to my website directly.

As far as the physical connection, should I continue to use the nylon crimp connector? It seems as if four wires going into one crimp connector doesn't seem too stable. I guess I could solder it together first. Any suggestions?
