hey every one wutsup today i was playing aroung with a home amplifier trying to replace a fuse that was burned from a long time ago. it turns out that there is something really bad with amp. i hooked up a car speaker it was a 6 by 9. ok so this is what happened.

i hooked up the speaker and turned on the amp and after anout 3 seconds the speaker started smoking. the was a lot of smoke coming from the voice coil of the woofer. WTF i quickly unpluged it i thought the speaker was dead. the i left it alone for about an hour and i wanted to see what happened to the speaker and i pluged it in my car. wow, it works i dont see any problems.

what do you think happened. why does the speaker still work.???

You probably just started to melt the plastic coating in the voice coil.
