Murph, unfortunately this seems to be a somewhat popular subject lately. I bought a 4 gauge amp kit from CC almost 10 years ago for $79.99 so that doesn't sound too bad. I wouldn't say those prices are necessarily a bad thing. Do 10 installs at $10 a piece, and 5 installs at $20 a piece. Which is better? Not to mention it seems that either people are set on doing the installs themselves, or they really have no clue and would never attempt it regardless of the cost (within reason, of course..)

As for what BB is actually thinking in the changes, no idea. Could the move be because of the difficulty in the newer vehicles? Perhaps they see that the radio market is vanishing with the new cars, and trying to get a chunk while the older cars are still on the road? You guys still doing a lot of radio installs? We don't do many at all I haven't done an aftermarket radio in a few weeks..

By the way I believe the shop I work at charges $55 - 60 + parts for a deck install.
