Does anyone know why a gear indiacator lamp would stay lit? I have a 1997 GM Suburban, I installed a Commando FM-870/Combo (remote start & alarm). And although every function operates as specifed, the gear indicator bar(PRNO123), (located above the steering column in the instrument cluster) stays energized. I have checked for shorts and ground faults, since the controller has internal relays, the dash lamps are wired through the headlamp switch. Should I install a diode at this connection to prevent feedback? Any Ideas?

your using the brown wire at the headlight switch, for parking light flash..you shouldn't need a diode. But it might be worth a try?
