how do you want them to come on. switch on manually with your parking lights or maybe on all the time through your ignition switch. there are many options.

I want a switch independent of my normal headlights.

Ok my main problem is that my instructions say to connect one side of the switch to the relay and the other should be tapped into the cable for my headlights so that the driving lights can only be turned on when the headlights are on, which I don't want. I want to be able to turn them on whenever, so where should I connect the other side of the switch?

Wire the switch and relay according to these instructions. - ground one side of switch. - wire other side of switch to pin 86 on relay. - wire pin 87 on relay to + on each driving light. - wire pins 85 and 30 together to +12v. Fuse this line with a 15 amp fuse. Use a Bosch relay (preferred) with 5 pins for this. Do not use pin 87a. ------------- Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

I would connect the switch to your parking lamp wire. That way you can have them on with your low beams and high beams as well. Plus when you turn your parking lamps off, the driving lights will also go off and you won't come back out with a dead battery if you forget to turn them off.
