Where can i find a power inverter that connects directly to the car battery?

anywhere (Sears, Wal-mart, etc) . just slice the cigarette lighter off and connect as normal.

so just hook up the positives and negitives.

yep, or you could even get fancy and put in a fuse as well!!! actually I would strongly advise using a fuse!.......Fuse everything!!!!!!!
