Ok.. Question.. Has anyone with an Ohio Generator Alternator ever had it bite the dust, ha ha..

Here's the situation.. I have had one in my 2001 Jimmy for eh, since last July.. and now it is causing my truck to throw a Service Engine Soon code..  Something to do with cycles and charge and blah, blah, blah, and it sucks.. so I took it out and put the factory one back in just to see if that was the problem.. well now.. ha ha, my  "baby" is parked in the garage and can't go anywhere cause the OEM alternator pooped on me too..

So.. back to the original question, anyone know what's going on?

This is me.. being irritated taking the $400 one out..

By the way.. Long time no see everyone, but comp. season is coming back into play, be back on here more often.. Hope all are well!

As long as everything runs right, put the HO alt back in.

I was unaware that a Altenator can cause a check engine light unless its either undercharging or over charging. I think I would take that one into a shop and check to make sure the regulator is functioning correctly. If its working fine I see no reason for it to throw a code.

What's the P code that you're seeing?.. Was the HO alt charging?..
