Does anyone know if on a Honda Accord 99, is there a second battery source supplying power to the ignition switch ?
no this is not for any car what is happening that you cant get what ever your trying to do not working.

Unless the previous owner had a back up system hooked up to the ignition system ?

Actually what I am trying to install is a remote start Alarm Prestige Platinum 750. The remote start harness has 2 wires to be hooked to constant in the ignition switch. The alarm manual warns not to hook up both wires to the same constant wire in the ignition switch. It requires a separate hook up for Battery 2 wire. So, my question was is there another wire that is constant battery in the ignition switch. I am trying to avoid going straight to the battery, because I don't want to have much wires hanging off the battery.
Anyone got any suggestions? Please guys .. waiting for help ... In case I hook both Alarm constant inputs into the same ignition switch white constant wire (on Honda Accord).. will the white wire be ok ? How to check for so.

If a vehicle has only one feed for 12 volts constant than both your wires for 12 volts can go on one wire but if your vehicle has 2 constant 12 volt feeds than you will use one on each 12 volt feed that is in your vehicle .The reason for them warning against this is because some cars are designed with more than one constant power wire to the ignition so that the current can be split for the accesory's, starter motor, etc, If you were to tie both constants together and draw more current through the one feed of the ignition you may blow a fuse or fusible link wich would render the car un drivable. Some Chrysler for example has (2) 12 volts constant to the igniton one may be fused with a 15a the other may be a 30a, if all the remote start power wires were on that 15 amp line you would blow the fuse and not be able to start the car again, but if you used both wires the curent would have been split and the fuse would not blow.
All my notes say that there is one white wire for constant but the best way is to use your meter and check all wires to make sure it has one constant if so then both red wires off the remote strter can be tied into that one white wire.
