I really dont percieve it to be a problem at all, 10" sounds reasonable

The only way I can think a sub would hurt a computer is if the magnet got to close to the monitor, but you will be fine with that setup. I have a 6" sub next to my computer and I have never had a problem.

It won't hurt the CPU. It can erase the harddrive but only if you like rub the harddrive against the magnet. You should be cool.

Somewhere where it won't be blocked but I don't see it being a HUGE difference for something like a home/comuter setup. In a car yes, but IMO for this probably what ever's most convinent (ie front). Just what I think

Lots of sound comes through those ports.
