I am putting a Clifford Solaris Alarm in a 2003 Camry LE.  I was wondering if anyone might have possibly put an alarm with remote start in this type of car?  First off when I disarm alarm dome light does not light up.

2. Does anyone know why I can not get the remote start to work I have the ignition wires hooked up and the accesory and tach but it will not even try to crank I tried to program but parking lights will not come on to say it accepts program.  Is there something special with the camrys that I am missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks JIM

1.  For the dome light, I'm not sure how your alarm works...but for mine I had to:

  •  Install a relay to make the domelight supervision work.  The relay was hooked up to (1)power, (2)ground, (3)the alarm's BLACK/ white wire, and (4)the door input wire.

Do you have to do all of that (install a relay)?

2.  For the remote start, you said you have the ignition and accessory wires all hooked up, but you didn't mention any power wires.  You should have a couple power wires from the relay satellite that need to be hooked up to 12v+.

and you never mentioned starter wire did you connect your starter out put up? also there is a transponder that needs to be bypassed for remote start to work.
