In my truck, im mounting a series of switches in the overhead console. Switches will be controlling, 2 elec fans for the enigne, 3 door solenoids, a pneumatic air valve, an air compressor, power to my air ride switchbox, and a couple aux. My question is, whats the best way to get power up to all those switches? Run an individual power wire for each one, and run like a 4 gauge wire up there with some sort of terminal?
run a small gauge multiple conductor cable. if you have say ten switches up there, i'd run a fifteen conductor cable, leaves a couple spares just in case. then use the switches to control relays to operate your various accessories. you should be able to get a length of cable from an electronics (radio shack) or better hardware store.

I would use a 10 gauge wire from the batt with a fuse to the switches or a fuse block that would be your input. even if you put the fuse at the batt you should fuse ever power wire you use going to the switches. you can use a fuse block that can hold up to 15 fuses .it all comes down to what switches you are using most of them are low curent output and then you would have to use a relay to boost power. i am not saying mark does not have a good idea but in this line of work every body does things different. if you want i ran 15 switches in my off road jeep and if you want to see pics to get a idea let me know.
Hopes this helps
