I just turned 17 and have been installing for the past 4 years. I started working at a shop 2 years ago but don't get to do any fiberglass. Im planning to open my own shop after college (hopefully). Are there any pointers to give me when working with fiberglass??? Im already MECP Certified but I want to learn how to build custom systems...... Would you suggest going to a mobile school for a few weeks to get some training?? Many people say that Car Audio is in my blood and I need to stick with it.....
Thank you for your input

Hey Mike, the best thing I can say about working with fiberglass is to do it SAFELY ! Use the proper PPE all the time when working with this stuff as you know it can damage your brain cells and also your lungs too when sanding and grinding is required. trial and error is a good teacher, but it's expensive. I suggest going to school where they can teach you the fundamentals of enclosure design & fabrication at a minimal cost. If you like car audio now, by the time your 30 you may be playing a different tune....... diversify your talents so you don't get bored, learn as much as you can with trial and error and use the internet as a means of information gathering.....it's an endless medium.
