I have a friend wanting to install an aftermarket tach on the steering post of his 2001 Mustang GT, which, of course, has a dash mounted tach.

Hoping not to undo the dash, I was hoping someone could tell me where/which color wire to tap into for the aftermarket tach.

Thanks,

G Man

If your installing a tach on a 1999+ mustang you are going to have to have a tach adaptor because the tach signals are too far apart with "coil on plug" ignition. Also it has a multi-spark discharge ignition system.

Or you can get a shift light from here: www.raptorperformance.com
