Subject: How to in-line fuse to fuse box?

Hello,
I have this universal power trunk release and it came with this red wire that has a tube and inside the tube is this glass tube. I figure this to be the in-line fuse and holder.

But how do I connect the end of this red wire to my fuse box since it's not the regular blade fuse where I can just put into one of the slots. So what should I do? Thanks so much.

never wrap wires around fuses. if you want the trunk to open without the key on than extend the wire to the battery or tap into the constant wire under the steering column. if you want it to work with only the key on then find an accessory wire under the steering column.

... if i was u, i'd take out the inline fuse, use and empty fuse slot in the stock fusebox (most have blanks). Essentially, solder a 'extension' wire onto the release motor, run it *neatly* up to your controlling siwthc, then run the otherside of the switch to your fuse box. if you want to use relays, well... ask on the relay forum.
