Hey! I am new to this board, just found it yesterday, but I wanted to see if you guys could help with this problem. I do quite a few stereo installs as a side hobby, but I am relatively new to video applications(I have done a couple though). Right now I am working on installing an Alpine CVA-1006 in dash video unit, CVA-5205 DVD/CD player, and NVE-N851A DVD car navigation system. I have a few questions. First of all, concerning the hookup of the CVA-1006, is there any way to bypass hooking up all the wires to the e-brake, "park" on the tranny, and foot brake? I know it is not recommended, but my friend wants to be able to use the system without setting the e-brake, etc. Should I just ground them all? Secondly, I have all the wires hooked up, and everything functioning, but I do not have any sound to the speakers. My theory is that the stock Bose sound system uses special speakers and/or outboard amplifiers, so I need to replace/modify the speakers. Is this the case? Please let me know so I may finish this install. Thanks in advance for all your help! Dan Rizos

OK I fixed the speaker problem- I need to replace the Bose speakers I guess. Any idea for my first question? I am having particular trouble with the "foot brake" connection. Thanks Dan
