hi guys its been a while

i own a 00 automatic celica with the viper 540 or something installed with remote start (AUX isn't currently equipped for anything at the moment)

I had this incident where i was walking back home from a party and it started pouring....

well the remote fob? got wet completely in the rain and i didn't realize it.

then i realized it when it didn't start working and the green indicator light started flashing quickly in 5-9 second bursts but didn't respond

now 3 days later, the unlock/lock buttons work when i press somewhat hard on them as well the remote start but it still flashes rapidly a few times ever hour

and when that happens the car will remote start and then shut off quickly (this happens about 3 or 4 times an hour to my best estimates)

my questions:

1) will the repeated remote starts and shut off damage my engine or anything or harm or do anything to my car?

2) is there any way to disengage that specific fob? ( i am using my backup which works perfectly)

3)how feasible would it to get a replacement key fob thing???

4) should i have any other concerns and/or has anybody gone through this sort of mess???

thanks for the help guys....

Remove the battery from the bad remote FOB and if you feel confident enough, you can clean the inside of the board with a Q-tip and 99% isopropyl alcohol to remove any crap the rain water might have left behind.

The remote will either snap apart witha small screwdriver or a small Phillips screw.
