im installing a kenwood CD player reciever in a 88 gmc safari van

dose the orange wire from the van connect to the yellow wire to the

radio?

Use a DMM to test the Orange wire from the van and see if it's contant power. If this is a contant power wire then you have to connect it to the yellow wire on the Kenwood deck.
