Hi people,

Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that does the same sort of thing as Mobile Dynamics, or do I need to fly out to the States to get the training I want?

I want a change of career and love the install industry. Would like to get qualifications and see if I can change my career to one I like.

Also, how easy would it be for a 30yo to relocate and get a job in the US or Canada? Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve.

Steve,

I have no idea what is available in the UK as far as training goes.

As for employment it all depends on what kind of experience you have. If you don't have much experience it will be hard finding a decent paying employer. Kinda like the chicken and the egg dilemma. In the Northern USA and Canada you will have an easier time getting hired if you have some remote-starter installation experience. Once your in the field and start getting experience you won't have any difficulty finding work. Experienced installers are in very high demand in the Montreal, Quebec area.

I relocated from Edmonton to Montreal 5 years ago and had no problem finding at least 5 to 6 places to work once I arrived. But then again I have 10 years under my belt.

I would love to relocate. I have been installing for around 10 years and have some experience with remote start systems on european vehicles. Most of the systems i install are either Clifford or Avital.

How would this stand up as credentials as far as getting a job in the US or Canada?
