im looking at the alpine spr-176a. they look real nice. any opinions on the quality?Alpine SPR-176A

well I have a friends who just got Orions Compnet speaker set. Now with just on 6 hook up to his 100 ppi amp it is louder then but my 6x9 in my car which are also ran off a amp. but they run for around 500 for there nicest serious. JL has some nice ones that will run you around 350 I think

Take a look at MB Quart https://www.mbquart.com I think they are much better than Alpine although more expensive but defiantly worth the money.
