how came i find out the number of amps in a wire????

The most accurate is to measure it with an ammeter.  An ammeter has to be placed in series with the circuit, to measure and it has to be rated to handle the amperage in the wire.  Most DMM's are only rated from 10 to 20 amps.  The good ones can handle 60 amps and are fused with higher rating.
