hopefully some one can help. i have a light unit that is putting out some where around 12volts system 7 watts per bulb (one bulb at a time) but what i need is to upgrade the 7 watts to around 55W. Is this posible? Should i add something inline before it gets to the bulb? What i am trying to do is put brighter lights in my unit ex.12V 55W. It has 8 lights that run left to right (like knight rider). If it was not for the unit makeing it run left to right i know i could just run this like a few peers of fog lights. Do i need to add a relay or two or do i need something else. Any help wiil be great. Thanks, GTAfanatic.

PS. is the subject clear on what i am asking or should i chang it?

if it came with a 7 watt bulb the wire will not handle a 55 watt bulb.  try super bright led, they will work
