I just purchased a 1990 chevrolet pickup and it has 4x6 speakers in all locations. I have been told that it is a pain in the a.. when replacing these rear speakers as you have to remove the whole rear panel. I am wondering if anybody can tell me or give some idea on what a pair of pretty good 4x6 speakers (not real expensive) would cost and what brands are best for my particular vehicle?
Also, exactely how hard is it to replace these speakers?

i dont believe there is a best speaker for your truck. buy somthing reliable like a well known brand and dont crank the bass thru them.

Alpine makes a set of 4x6 S series that would work for ya. About 100.00 a pair I think.

I've heard good things about Boston Acoustics 4x6 speakers. And yes, that pannel IS a pain in the ass to take out.
