I'd removed the top and front dash panels today to clean them up for dye and paint later this week, everything came apart and went back together nice and smooth.

After all was said and done, I get in, and turn the key, the gauge cluster lights work fine, the gauges themselves are fine, but the odometer is damn near blank. This is in my 03 Cavalier

Its like it doesnt want to glow at all. If I look real hard, you can *BARELY* see the digits.

But i'm stumped, i've checked the harness for the cluster and its secured just fine. I didnt screw with any electronics while I had the dash panels off.

What in the F--- happened to my odometer, and how might i fix it?

Probably the light is burnt out it does happen. It is a pain to change if I remember well B/c you need to dissasemble the cluster. Hope this helps

I failed to specify that in the 03 cavalier the odometer display is an LCD. When it goes blank, its barely readable unless you get full light on it.

Tomorrow at the shop i'm just going to pull the cluster and check the connections on the odom. This is quite infuriating.

i guess i'll just have to tear the cluster apart and check all the leads to the lcd
