i'm tring to install the audiovox aa-rs5 and i can't find the tach wire going to the ecm and i don't know what the ecm is. i don't want to connect this to the ignition coil.

This wire will vary the number of negative pulses with engine speed. This wire can be tested with a digital multi-meter set to AC voltage.
