Insurance.

Not trying to be a wise ass. It really is important.

Doesn't the shop provide all the connections and supplies? I have never heard of a shop that doesn't provide these basic supplies, tools are of course a different story.

In no particular order of importance:

1) A parts supplier. Staub, DLC, Importel are just a few (we deal with both Staub and Importel... both excellent)

2) From these suppliers:
     - Dash kits- solid selection of domestics, smattering of imports, depends on your market

     - Wire harnesses for above

     - Relays, harnesses, connectors, screws, and other sundry items that can add up to far more than you can imagine

     - Bulk wire in 4, 8, 10, and 18ga

     - Bulk speaker wire

3) Insurance!

4) Beer fridge....

5) If you are in Ontario... MECP or a mechanics license if you want to do starters

6) Insurance!

7) If you have been at this for a while, you should know what you require for connectors..... leave the Scotch Loks and T-Taps at the factory... they are happier there....

8) Some good operating capitol in the bank....

9) Insurance!

This should get you on your way......

This shop is an existing repair shop, but the owner is expanding and will be hiring me to run a new install bay and performance section of it...it is located just outside of Halifax on St Margaret's Bay rd. The info I requested was just for me I want to make sure we have everything before we get started...I expect it to be quite busy...will also be doing custom exhaust systems, wheels and tires possibly engine performance such as forced induction. So on
