I just put a Bulldog 1300E remote start/alarm and the bulldog 791 Passlock-II bypass in a 2002 Saturn SL1. The alarm works great, the starter starts the engine, but then it stalls immediately. The dealer said that model vehicle does not have a transponder key. The tech at Bulldog said to download the latest diagram. I have found three diagrams between the remote start book, the 791 module and the downloaded diagram, but the same symptom exists. I hope someone has an idea.
Thanks

If the vehicle starts, then you need to go through the tach learn sequence, which will be outlined in your manual.  If it were a wiring issue, it would not start.

Thanks for the info. I am not using the tach feature I chose tachless and I thought I turned it "tach-on" off, but I may be wrong so I will try to turn it off again. I hope it is something that simple.
Thanks
Pete

Update:
The problem was that a wire of the 8pin connector on the 791 passlock-II bypass was in the wrong slot. So, the car starts and runs now, but the security light stays on even when operated with the key. The vehicle owners manual states that that means the passlock is inoperable. Maybe the 791 is on all the time?? Geesh, what a pain this installation has become. At bulldog security website I also found 4 different ways to wire the same components for my car. The last of which is the one that helped me discover that the wire was located incorrectly in the connector. Any ideas as to why the security light is on all the time with the remote start engaged or with the key? Note: this vehicle does not have factory alarm.
The 791 is connected as follows:
red to constant 12v
yellow to passlock-II yellow
orange to black Passlock-II
blue to remote start ignition (-) out
white to ignition (pink)
yel/blk stripe to starter crank pink

oops!
Last line of previous post should be:
yel/blk stripe to starter crank wire of remote start (yel/blk stripe)

Also note:
Bulldog website print-out of wiring shows to not use the yel/blk but the teck said to follow what it says in the booklet of the 791 which says to connect as I did.
