Simple question actually..  I've been tuning my amps while my car is off, but have the key in the ignition to the 1st position, which powers just my radio which in turns powers my amps obviously.  The 2nd position turns on A/C, windows, lights etc...  But still engine off of course.  Now when I have that key in 1st position, with the amps and radio on.  Does that put strain on my battery?  I'm just afraid of draining it.

yes; you'll drain the battery running any electrical accessories with the engine off. The engine runs your alternator which is what powers all the accessories in your car as well as recharging the battery.
