Hello :) I've been cruising by the site since I owned car audio stores in 1999, but I don't remember ever registering. Lost my stores in 9/11 so now I am just back to a hobby on my own stuff.

I was wanting to integrate a Mitsubishi FX2N PLC into the car and was looking for ideas on what some of you may have done with PLC's before. When I was in school for EE, we used the Mitsubishi the most, so I know it well enough to use that brand and model.

Has anyone ever used one in your installs before? I was thinking about using it as a do all to control a motorized amp rack, adjustable subwoofer enclosure via actuator, perhaps some lighting effects, and tie it into a few other things like window and sunroof controls.

I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has doe this and what you did. :)

Thanks!

I am not familiar with the Mitsubishi PLC, but I am a considering building a similar type circuit for a show car using a Motorola HC-11 microcontroller.  I am an EE student at Kansas State and that is the microcontroller we use for everything because the programming structure will apply to almost an microcontroller on the market.  The HC-11 works on 5 volts however so I will have to use it to control on board relays to run everything.  It is still way in the planning stage for me.

Good Luck!
