i have a simple problem that for some reason i cant come up with the right answer for. All you need to do is find the total resistance for the circuit shown (link given below). The answer is 1500 OHMS total resistance, but i cant seem to come up with 1500 OHMS for the answer and i dont understnad how to get that answer. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

hi,

the 200, 300, and 500 ohm resistors are in series for a total of 1000 ohms. these are in parallel with the 4000 ohm one, which results in a total resistance of 800 ohms. 800 in series with the 400 and 300 ohm ones results in a 1500 ohm value for Rt.
