Hi, new to the forum, looks like lots of very knowledgable peeps here, hope you can help please.

Got a power switch for a sub wired in the car, it controls the relay fine by providing ground for it.  This works no problem.  I bought some little 3v lamps with appropriate resistors.  I want a visual indication that the switch is on.  I can`t get the lamps to light when the switch is activated.

I realise that:

1. After using the resistor, the voltage is not enough to activate the relay.

2. The resistor and lamp cannot be in series with the grounding for the relay.

3. There probably has to be at least one diode in there somewhere to get this to work.

Can any kind person offer a wiring solution please?

Many thanks

Use the + positive output from the relay when on and ground the other side of the lamp
