Please Help!!   I'm doing an install on a 2000 Saturn SL1.  Everything is working great except for the remote start portion.  It tries to start but will not stay running.  I know it has to do with the "pass lock" (or something like that) not allowing fuel.  There are three wires running directly to the ignition switch (white, yellow, black) that are recognizing that the key is turning the switch.  How do I bypass????

Thanks!!

you need a bypass moudle from dei or someone to learn the code and send it out durn remote starting! You can also you relays but they seem to cause problems some times. Also you need to ground the green key sense wire in saturns durn remtoe start

No passlock on the Saturn before 2000.

thanks for the info guys... i've got the dei 555L, but they sold me a used one.  I didn't find out 'til it was too late, but no wiring diagram or anything except for the one on the box itself.  I tried a couple of configurations, but no luck....i'm at my wits end and i'm pretty much out of patience with this ____ thing.  Thanks

well, there is a black and yellow wire coming from they key. Cut the yellow wire, take the yellow wire from the 555l and put it on the key side of the cut wire, put the black yellow on the other side. Hook the blue black upto ground when remote starting wire, pink to ingition 12volts, black to ground, all others no need. there ya go

that's the way i originally done it, but no worky.  I finally figured it out.  you have to take the yellow wire from the module and splice into the yellow wire on the saturn.  The BLACK / YELLOW wire of the module gets spliced into the black wire on the saturn.  I've routed the green (key sense) wire through a relay so that it grounds during remote start...that way the service and security light go out, but they're still on.  Even when I use the key they're on.  I think that I just have to drive it around and let the computer adjust.  Is that correct??  Thanks again for all of your help.

well i found out incorrect...it was worth a try.  would adding relays to both wires solve the problem??

IF THE MODULE IS BAD I WILL TELL YOU HOW TO DO IT WITHOUT A MODULE.
LOCATE THE YELLOW, BLACK AND WHITE WIRES FROR SECURITY (WE WON'T USE THE WHITE), MAKE SURE ALL CONNECTIONS ARE
BACK TOGETHER PROPERLEY AND THE VEHICLE WILL RUN FOR A FEW MINUTES WITHOUT STALLING.
NEXT GET YOUR OHM METER AND PUT IT ON 20OHM SETTING.
START VEHICLE, CUT YELLOW WIRE IN HALF, TAKE A READING BETWEEN KEY SIDE OF YELLOW AND THE UNCUT STRIPPED BLACK WIRE.
REVESE YOUR TEST WIRES FROM YOUR METER AND GET A RESISTOR +/- 10% OF WHAT YOU READ.

NEXT GET A SPDT 5 PIN RELAY AND DO THE FOLLOWING
PIN 87 WITH THE RESISTOR VALUE IN IT TO BLACK UNCUT WIRE
PIN 87A TO KEY SIDE OF OF YELLOW WIRE
PIN 30 TO MOTOR SIDE OF YELLOW
PIN 86 TO THE BEST GROUND
PIN 85 TO IGNITION WIRE OF STARTER UNIT YOU ARE INSTALLING

THIS NEVER FAILS !

START VEHICLE WITH KEY, MAKING SURE ALL LIGHTS GO OUT THEN STOP ENGINE. REMOVE KEY
THEN START BY REMOTE STARTER

SORRY ABOUT THAT BUT I SHOULD HAVE SAID TO USE THE HIGHER READING OF THE RESISTANCE
AFTER REVERSING THE OHM METER WIRES
