ac to dc converter used to power amps/ect from the ac outlet.
ive seen these used in shops but where can i buy one/which is best?

That was a wasted response. Unless you are a retailer, you will never find anything on that site...

Anyplace you can buy any power supply will do. Tripp-Lite is probably the best one out there, but you get what you pay for. Translation? Relatively expensive. 40A will probably cost around 150 dollars, depending on where you buy it.

Radio Shack has a 25A switching power supply, for 100 bux as well. Benefits to this one? SIZE... VERY small and light. Switchers are usually quiet (power wise). Low ripple is a desirable spec for a power supply.

haemphyst, thats pretty rude. all it takes is a phone call and at this place THEY CONSIDER YOU A RETAILER!

thats why its posted.......and the same power supply for 100 is about 50 there.    dude, when i first stared out 14 years ago... this was the first place to not make me feel like a beginner. and that made me grow. just trying to pass on the favor.
