my amp has burned out and i was wondering if it was worth it to fix. i open it up and could see that next to a little black box that has thermal management system on it is burned  and is flaking underneath the motherboard so do yall think it can be fix or throw it away theirs a loc shop that will look at it for $49 but they keep the money i dont fix it so thats why i asking to see if its worth it and yall think it can be fix since the mother board has burned somewhat in 1 spot  thanks rob

Amps are so cheap nowadays it's really not worth it to fix it, unless that particular amp is no longer made, holds sentimental value, or is just plain cool.

It was a good old amp that can produce in excess of 1000 w rms into a 4 ohm mono load. Most shops are not able to fix these amps. A new amp of this size still commands some good cake, Rockford will have a flat rate repair on this amp, it is worth it to call them and find out.
