My XRS has a six speaker, factory built-in 6 disc cd changer am/fm radio.  It doesn't say JBL on it so I don't know the model.  There is a Toyota number on the bezel.  The radio and cd play is awesome, but like to get an aux input for ipod.

Anyway, wondering what options I have for installing an auxilary input for ipod.  The FM modulators don't work very well and I was looking at the usa spec auxilary input adapter but can't figure if it really works...I first need to figure out if this factory radio is a jbl radio, then see if I can buy or make a adapter to switch from cd to aux.  If I can figure out the pin out signals to this radio, then maybe I can make a custom switch/adapter to switch from cd to aux input.....be willing to share the mod if I can get info.

Can anyone give me a schematic or have info. or recommendations?

PXHTY3 peripheral part number. Works with all, but the 6 disk in dash. plugs into the back of the radio
