If you ever forgot your crimpers or ran out of ring terminals to strip about 2" of wire back Anything smaller than like 16 gauge and twist it and solder it to make your own ground or to make your "ring terminal" Would that be a hack thing to do? I wouldn't see how because it's basically the same as using a ring terminal but you leave that connection out... Any help would be great!!!

On your own car or a paying customer?

In an unseen place?  Maybe the best conductivity leaving out the middle man.  In a place that is to be admired?  Would be considered a hack if someone didn't know any better.  And I don't see the reason to loop and solder, just looping would be the purest form.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I would consider it hack. When you solder it can make the wire brittle and can crack. So when you torque the bolt/screw down you can actuall break the wire.

Never, a parts store is just down the street.

If it's closed, I'll just wait and buy the part. My car or other wise.
