Directed Acquires AstroflexBy Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 5/9/2006 9:46:00 AMVista, Calif. — Vehicle security supplier Directed Electronics said it acquired the assets of Astroflex, a remote-starter vendor based in Canada, for an undisclosed sum. Directed said it expects the acquisition will add $5.5 million to its gross product sales in 2006. More details on the acquisition will be provided next week when Directed, which recently went public, releases its quarterly earnings, it said. Astroflex, located in Sherbrooke, Quebec, was founded in 1989 and was privately owned by Jean Desmarais, who will continue to lead the company, said Directed. ------------- Support the12volt.com

I just put AstroStart 5204s in both of our vehicles and so far like the system, I hope this won't affect their products too much.

Great... just what we needed another monopoly...They only good thing that can come out of this is - mabey I can understand them a bit better, French Canadian is really tough to discipher if your not used to it...
