The vehicle probably shuts down the factory keyless entry module when the ignition is on to prevent false locking, unlocking and panicking from the remote.  It is a factory issue and probably can't be undone.

Thanx for the reply, The remote start module has a wire for this problem....  it calls it a alarm ignition control wire.......   I just need to know what wire to hook it to on the escort....or the name of this wire to hook it to..

Thanx for replying

I think that alarm ignition wire you are talking about is suppose to be connected to an aftermarket alarm. Even if you start with your keys, the factory keyless remotes will not work.... most of the time.

My Personal Installer Note: Connectors are easy, neat, and professional. But do you know how to crimp properly?

Yes the ignition control wire is for an aftermarket alarm.  When an alarm sees power on the ign while it is armed it will go off so what would be done with that wire would be to hook it to the alarms ign sensing wire so it will not false when the alarm is remote started.
